A Community Service of the United Way

Connecting people who need help with community resources is an important part of the United Way mission. Statistics show that the number one reason people do not get help is that they do not know where to find it.

United Way 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember number to call when you need information about available services or referrals for a crisis situation.

Callers to 2-1-1 can locate resources providing:

  • Basic needs of food, clothing and shelter
  • Physical and mental health care
  • Support for elderly persons
  • Services for persons with disabilities
  • Assistance with children, youth and family issues
  • Answers about recycling or donation of goods
  • Volunteer opportunities

Calls are free, confidential and answered by a trained community information specialist.

United Way 2-1-1 utilizes a comprehensive list of more than 600 local health and human service resources that include private non-profit organizations, community based organizations, and local, state and federal government agencies.

By making services easier to access, 2-1-1 encourages prevention and promotes self-sufficiency.
